TSEPI

As part of our work as the Regional Empowerment Partner for the West Midlands, we’re responsible for a programme called Targeted Support for Empowerment and Participation Improvement, or TSEPI for short. Its aim is to provide support to the communities that most need it.

TSEPI is funded by the Department for Communities and Local Government through the Community Development Foundation.

We split our TSEPI work into three separate themes:-

Locality Participation:  We offer support to communities that are most in need of support, through eight local authorities in the West Midlands.  The local authorities are:-

Community Resilience: We help communities that suffered in the last recession to identify where they’ve had specific problems and to develop ways to ensure these problems don’t happen again. The local authorities involved in this work are:

  • Birmingham City Council
  • Coventry City Council
  • Staffordshire County Council
  • Herefordshire City Council
  • Stoke On Trent City Council
  • Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council

Action Learning and Dissemination: We make sure that the lessons learned from the community resilience work are shared throughout the West Midlands and elsewhere. That means collecting and documenting the work and making sure it gets to other people, through events, seminars, briefings and in other ways.
