The aim of this work stream is to promote the Community Led Planning (CLP) approach, previously developed through EVC funding and currently used in rural areas, and explore the benefits of adopting it in urban areas of the West Midlands. It will use existing practical experience and documents produced to promote CLP to Local Authorities and LSPs in urban areas and support the implementation of the processes. It supports the Big Society agenda, demonstrating collaborative working where citizens are able to contribute to local authority community strategies.

Objectives include:

• Promote and encourage the Community Led Planning approach in urban areas of the West Midlands.
